01Is it really one file?
Yes. One HTML file that opens in Chrome, Edge, or any modern browser. All eighteen pages inside.
02Where does my data live?
On your computer. Point the optional Sync Folder at iCloud, Drive, or Dropbox and it backs up every ten minutes. Export the full bundle anytime — your data, in a file you can read.
03Is it a subscription?
No. One payment. Future tools may ship as optional paid modules, but nothing you bought moves behind a new paywall.
04Does it work offline?
Yes. Everything is calculated on your machine, and the fonts and charts are already inside the file. Only two things reach the internet — live exchange rates and the brand logos on the Expenses page — and the Dash keeps working without either. Work offline and nothing degrades.
05What about a new machine?
Copy the file and import your backup, or point the new machine at your sync folder. About two minutes.
06Do I need AI?
Only if you want it, and it never involves an account or an API key. If your browser has built-in on-device AI (Chrome’s Gemini Nano), the Dash can use it to tidy pasted text into tasks or draft a meeting debrief — it runs on your machine and nothing is uploaded. Without it, everything runs on plain local rules, and the interface tells you which you’re getting. There is no cloud AI in the Dash.
07Do I get updates?
Yes. Smaller releases arrive through the in-app installer, which adds pages and features without replacing your file or touching your records. For a bigger release you get a fresh download by email, and your data comes across from your backup or your sync folder. Nothing you have already bought moves behind a paywall.
08Can I see it before I buy?
You already are — this whole site is the product, every page and panel of it, with no demo call and no gated pricing. Worth knowing before you decide: the file lands on your computer the moment you pay, so a sale is final once it downloads. A file cannot be un-downloaded. That is exactly why we would rather answer questions first — write to [email protected] with anything you are unsure about and you will get a straight answer, including “no, it doesn’t do that.”
09Which browser should I open it in?
Chrome or Edge for the full thing. It runs in Safari and Firefox too, with one exception: the Sync Folder — the automatic backup every ten minutes to iCloud, Drive, or Dropbox — needs a browser API only Chromium has. In Safari and Firefox you export your backup by hand instead. Everything else is identical.
10Can I run it on two computers?
Yes — it’s a file, not a licensed seat. Copy it to the laptop, or point both machines at the same sync folder. Just don’t work in both at once: each copy keeps its own records, so whichever saved last is the one you keep.
11Does any of my data reach you?
No — there is no account and no server to send it to. Exactly two things reach the internet, and neither carries your data: live exchange rates, which send currency codes only and are skipped entirely if you work in one currency; and the small brand logos on the Expenses page, fetched from Google’s public favicon service for a fixed built-in list of well-known services — it sends a public domain like “figma.com” and never anything you type, no amounts and no names. AI, if your browser has it, runs on your machine. Every export and share page is self-contained, with the numbers baked in and no link back to your data.
